Since 2016, hundreds have gathered to support the SmashUp Fitness event, which is presented in memory of SSG Daniel Merriweather, who was killed in the line of duty serving our country on January 13, 2010. All proceeds from the event go to the Daniel Merriweather Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support for students in the Southwest Tennessee Community College Nursing Program while pursuing a nursing degree. Since its inception, ten students have received assistance to complete their studies and build promising careers in the Nursing field. In partnership with Southwest Tennessee Community College, this life-changing effort is hosted by his parents, Darryl and Pamela Finnie.

Registration Fee: $25 (includes a wristband, t-shirt, bottled water, and healthy snacks)
- Supporters who are unable to attend the event can receive a wristband and t-shirt for $35. The additional $10 will be applied to shipping costs.
